Well the end of the semester has come for me, which I am so excited about.  Let's just say those Thursdays I left the house at 6:30a.m. were not fun!  Next fall will be much more enjoyable too because I will begin my upper division courses for my Child Development major!  I will be taking a nice little vacation home for a few weeks and then I come back to Rexburg to sit and wait for our little baby to come!

Speaking of our little baby....he is definitely getting bigger and is much more active than I could ever imagine!  In the last few days I've found that he moves and moves and moves at all hours of the day!  The doctor says he's in a position that seems like it'd be uncomfortable for both us!  Anyways, hopefully the next few weeks fly by and I'll soon be able to hold him in my arms!

Amazing Artist makes amazing shoes!

My friend Jeff Ouye, is an art major at San Diego State University.  He lived on the same floor as me in the dorms my freshman year.  He has started creating art on white canvas shoes.  His creations are all so unique, here are a pair he did.  I cannot wait for my own pair.

Flashlights!

Not too much is new these days, just a moving baby inside me and lots of school work.  One thing Johnny and I do is play with our baby.  I read online that our baby's eyes are now open inside me.  So we turn a flashlight on pressed against my stomach and he starts moving around and kicking as if to say, "hey what's going on?!"  It's a lot of fun!

Oh the Weather Outside is FRIGHTFUL!!!

It is so cold here in Rexburg!  This morning I woke up early to warm my car before class, and found that my car was covered in inches and inches of snow!  Not to mention my door handle was frozen.  Pouring warm water was about the best I could do to be be able to open my car door, and then scraping all the ice under the layer of snow was the next adventure.  Also, going outside with semi-wet hair is not a good idea.  While stepping out to warm the car, the bottom 6 inches of my hair froze solid.  I found this quite funny.  Lastly, the roads were very dangerous today and I am officially afraid of driving on them!  Sliding around and not having control over my car is definitely not my thing!

p.s. mom the yellow building in the picture is my apartment

more pictures!

Our new Apartment

We are completely moved into our new apartment now, and are very happy with the change!  Not only is rent cheaper, but we get free cable and internet.  Oh, and did I mention that the apartment is bigger?!  Overall, the hectic move was worth it.  I took pictures of all the rooms and tried to do the place justice.  We also have a little storage on the outside of the apartment, which comes in handy for our christmas stuff, and other little things we really don't need access to!
(If you click on the pictures they enlarge)
1.  It's definitely a boy-there's even an arrow to direct your eyes to how you can tell!  :)
2.  Baby's side profile and his arm and fingers

It's a Boy!!!!

We finally found out we're having a boy (of course Johnny was sure of it all along)!  We went in for the ultrasound on Thursday, and how great was that?!  Sure, waiting for an hour for the ultrasound tech to actually get to us was a pain, but once we saw the little baby on the screen we completely forgot about the wait.  We were able to see the heart beat and see our little boy moving like crazy!!  He was waving his arm around and kicking his legs.  The ultrasound definitely showed us he was a boy!  Here are some pictures from the ultrasound-we really like the one where you can see his little fingers

Blogging-the easy way out!

I thought I would try making a blog so I can keep family and friends up to date with all the changes going on over here in Rexburg!  With a new apartment, school starting, and finding out our baby is a boy, things have been kind of exciting over here on our end!
